Founded in 1994, SAE Material Science Laboratory (MSL) was established by SAE Magnetics (H.K.) LTD with huge amount of investment, as a comprehensive material testing, analysis, evaluation and consultation organization which provides technical support for the technological innovation and quality control of industries. SAE-MSL possesses a variety of state-of-the-art surface analysis equipments, the comprehensive and sophisticated physical and chemical analysis instruments, and environmental reliability test equipments with special performance. MSL is staffed with a group of competent and experienced professionals. There are more than 110 employees, including more than 30 talents with Dr. or master degree and 60% technical professionals with bachelor degree.

SAE-MSL service covers many industries such as Magnetic record products, Semiconductor, Photonics, Nanotechnology, Electrical and Electronic products, Telecommunication, Vehicle Materials, Cleanroom, Ultrapure Water, Polymer, Environment management substances etc. The experiences and achievements acquired in surface analysis, cleanliness testing and microcontamination analysis, polymer material evaluation and environmental reliability test make MSL enjoy high reputation in HDD field and other related fields.
